Program: MA

MA (Master of Arts)

The Master of Arts (M.A.) is a postgraduate degree program in the humanities and social sciences, typically of two years’ duration, that provides advanced and specialized knowledge in disciplines such as languages, literature, history, political science, sociology, economics, and psychology. It is important because it develops deeper analytical, research, and critical thinking abilities, enabling students to engage with complex social, cultural, and theoretical issues, thereby contributing to academic advancement, policy understanding, and informed societal development. During the program, students undertake intensive study through seminars, coursework, and research projects, along with a dissertation in many cases, while also developing skills in academic writing, interpretation, and independent research, enabling them to pursue careers in education, research, public administration, media, policy analysis, or doctoral studies.
